What Burner N cannot reach target temperature
actually means.
The burner is on, but the heat it makes is not enough for the target. On these heads the usual reasons are a low gas supply, a nearly empty tank, a burner partly blocked by debris or insects, or wind carrying heat out of the hood.
Lynx grill display
What to do when Burner N cannot reach target temperature shows on the grillKind of codeTemperature and probes
A probe is sending the controller a reading it cannot trust, or no reading at all: the grill's own temperature sensor coated in smoke and grease, its lead pinched or melted, or a meat probe unplugged, wet or reading far outside what any cook box could reach. The grill then overshoots, stalls or shuts down to be safe. Wiping the sensor once the grill is cold and reseating the probe in its jack are reasonable steps; a sensor that still reads wrong is a visit.

Jammed augers, dead hot rods, weak combustion fans, lying probes and failed controllers on pellet grills, traced and replaced with the maker's parts.
Shows up asGrill Error Code on a Pellet Controller or Digital Panel
A grill error code shows as letters and numbers on a pellet grill controller, a flashing light on a digital control panel, or an alert in the maker's app paired with the grill.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Lynx's own guidance for Burner N cannot reach target temperature on its grills. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Check the gas: open the shutoff fully, and on propane make sure the tank is not nearly empty.
Close the hood and give the grill 10 to 15 minutes before judging the temperature.
If it happens on a full tank or natural gas in calm weather, book a visit so the gas pressure and the burner ports can be checked.

What not to do
This message does not mean the burner has gone out, which SmartGrill reports separately as no flame. It also does not point at the probe or the display, because the controller is measuring a real shortfall in heat.
