The Palisades Recreation Center, at the 117-acre Palisades Park on Alma Real Drive, is equipped with barbecue pits and picnic tables beside its ball fields.

Temescal Canyon Park, an unstaffed park running from Pacific Coast Highway to Sunset Boulevard, has barbecue pits, picnic tables, hiking trails and a native garden.

The Rustic Canyon Recreation Center on Latimer Road also offers barbecue pits alongside its pool and gym.
