Grill repair in Santa Monica.
Santa Monica's municipal code treats making or using a fire or barbecue, or burning charcoal, in its parks and on its beach as a fire hazard, unless it happens in a grill the city installed.

What Santa Monica does
to a grill.
Group barbecue areas can be reserved from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Airport Park, Clover Park, Marine Park and Virginia Avenue Park, and they are first come, first served at other hours.
Clover Park has two reservable barbecue areas, one with three pits and nine picnic tables south of the park office and another with two pits along Ocean Park Boulevard.
Groups of 150 or more need a separate event permit on top of a barbecue area reservation.
All of Los AngelesOn the water
Before a hurricane or a coastal storm, a grill by salt water has its tank closed and taken off or its gas shut off, and it is strapped down or moved inside, since wind can throw a cart grill; afterward it stays unlit until checked.
Balconies and small yards
A small grill cooking for a whole household burns through its grates and burners sooner than a big one used lightly, and where storage is short it stays outside all year under a cover that holds damp against the steel.
Mixed housing
An older grill bought used or inherited with a house may have been switched between propane and natural gas with no record, so the first visit reads the rating plate and the orifices and matches them to the fuel it now runs on.

When a grill
cannot wait in Santa Monica.
In Santa Monica as anywhere, these four put the people at the grill in danger and mean the gas stays closed until we come: a gas smell at the grill, the hose or the tank, a grease fire that keeps burning with the knobs down, flame curling out behind the control panel, or a knob that turns to off while the burner stays lit.
