What Burner N failed to ignite
actually means.

Here the controller tried to light the named burner and never saw a flame. Lynx points first at the gas supply, because an empty tank, a closed shutoff or air in a new line all look the same to the grill.

What to do when Burner N failed to ignite shows on the grill

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Lynx's own guidance for Burner N failed to ignite on its grills. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check that the tank valve or the gas shutoff is open and that a propane tank has gas in it.

02

Wait five minutes for gas to clear, then try that burner once more.

03

If it still does not light, leave it off and book a visit so the gas path to that burner can be checked.

Questions
about Burner N failed to ignite.

Can I clear Burner N failed to ignite myself?
Check that the tank valve or the gas shutoff is open and that a propane tank has gas in it. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My Lynx SmartGrill says failed to ignite right after a tank swap. Why?
A newly connected tank or a line that has been off can hold air, and the first try may not reach the burner with enough gas. After waiting five minutes, a second attempt often lights; if it does not, the supply needs checking.
Why does Lynx say to wait five minutes before trying again?
A burner that did not light has still let some gas into the firebox. Waiting lets it drift away so the next attempt does not light a pocket of it.
Can spiders cause Burner failed to ignite on a SmartGrill?
Yes, a blocked burner inlet can starve the burner of gas. That is one of the things checked at a visit once the tank and shutoff are ruled out.

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied exactly, the model and serial from the rating label, and a word on whether the grill still lights, heats or feeds pellets. With those three the office can match the likely part to your grill the same day.
