What LOCK (display locked)
actually means.
The pellet grill turns on with its touchscreen locked so rain, a sleeve or a curious hand cannot change a cook. Three quick taps on the LOCK button unlock it, and the button turns gray to show that.

What to do when LOCK (display locked) shows on the grillKind of codeMode, not a failure
Nothing on the grill has failed; the controller is showing a state it was put in on purpose. A shutdown cycle keeps the fan running to burn off the last pellets before the grill goes quiet, a keep-warm setting holds the cook box low, a demo mode lights the display without feeding fuel, and a pairing screen waits for a phone to connect. No part is needed; the button sequence in the manual, or simply letting the cycle finish, returns it to normal.
Usually leads toNo repair
Tap the yellow LOCK button in the bottom left corner three times in quick succession.
Shows up asGrill Error Code on a Pellet Controller or Digital Panel
A grill error code shows as letters and numbers on a pellet grill controller, a flashing light on a digital control panel, or an alert in the maker's app paired with the grill.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Twin Eagles's own guidance for LOCK (display locked) on its grills. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Tap the yellow LOCK button in the bottom left corner three times in quick succession.
Check that the button has turned gray with an open lock before trying other controls.
If the screen still ignores taps when unlocked, turn the grill off and on and book a visit if it continues.
Cleared?
The code is gone from the controller, the grill climbs to its set heat and holds it through a full cook, the pellets keep dropping and the probe readings stay believable, all without a new part. If the same code comes back within a week, or after the next rain, mention it when you book.
What not to do
A locked screen is not a frozen controller; it is the normal start-up state. A screen that stays unresponsive after unlocking is a different problem.
What you may
notice with it.
The grill problem LOCK (display locked) tends to arrive with. Answer these at the grill before anyone is booked.

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied exactly, the model and serial from the rating label, and a word on whether the grill still lights, heats or feeds pellets. With those three the office can match the likely part to your grill the same day.
