What E19
actually means.

When the flame drops out, the controller does not stop right away; it fires the glow plug to relight the pellets and shows E19 while it tries. A burst of bigger flame and smoke as it relights is normal, because extra pellets have gathered in the burn pot.

What to do when E19 shows on the grill

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Weber's own guidance for E19 on its grills. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Leave the grill plugged in and let it try to relight.

02

Check the hopper and top up with fresh pellets if the level is low.

03

Expect a short burst of smoke and flame when the fire catches again, and keep the lid closed.

04

If the grill keeps losing its flame, clean the burn pot once it is cold, and book a visit if that does not stop it.

Still there?

It usually turns into grill valve and regulator repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E19 is the grill still trying; if relighting fails it moves on to E3 and shuts down. It is not an overheat warning, which is E5.

Questions
about E19.

Can I clear E19 myself?
Leave the grill plugged in and let it try to relight. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why did my Weber puff out smoke and flame after showing E19?
Weber says a larger flame and more smoke are normal when the grill relights, because extra pellets fall into the burn pot and catch together. It settles within a few minutes.
Should I unplug my Weber when E19 appears?
No. Weber asks owners to leave it plugged in so the glow plug can relight the fire.
What usually causes E19 on a Weber Searwood?
Low or poor pellets and ash buildup in the burn pot are the common causes. Checking the hopper is the first step.

Still showing E19?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied exactly, the model and serial from the rating label, and a word on whether the grill still lights, heats or feeds pellets. With those three the office can match the likely part to your grill the same day.
