What Blue indicator light (FlameTrak)
actually means.

FlameTrak pairs each burner with a flame sensor and a safety valve. The blue light by the knob shows the state: it flashes while the igniter works and stays lit when the burner is burning. If the flame goes out, the safety valve closes the gas to that burner.

What to do when Blue indicator light (FlameTrak) shows on the grill

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Lynx's own guidance for Blue indicator light (FlameTrak) on its grills. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Keep the knob at LITE while the blue light flashes, and let go once it stays lit.

02

If the light keeps flashing and the burner does not light within five seconds, turn it off and wait five minutes.

03

Check the power and the 9-volt backup battery; if the light still never goes steady, book a visit to check the igniter and the flame sensor.

It usually turns into grill igniter repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

A flashing blue light is part of lighting, not a warning by itself. A dark blue light on every knob means the grill has no power or its backup battery is flat.

Questions
about Blue indicator light (FlameTrak).

Can I clear Blue indicator light (FlameTrak) myself?
Keep the knob at LITE while the blue light flashes, and let go once it stays lit. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why does the blue light on my Lynx FlameTrak grill go out mid-cook?
The flame sensor lost the flame, often from wind or a low tank, and the safety valve closed the gas to that burner. Turn the knob off, wait five minutes and relight.
Does a FlameTrak grill still light in a power cut?
Lynx fits a 9-volt battery as backup power for the ignition. A flat battery and no mains power leave the lights dark and the burners unlit.
Is the FlameTrak blue light on newer Lynx All-Trident grills?
The later All-Trident guide for the L30ATR to L42ATR does not describe it, so check the model on the rating plate under the drip tray before relying on the light.

Back to your everyday

Still showing Blue indicator light (FlameTrak)?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied exactly, the model and serial from the rating label, and a word on whether the grill still lights, heats or feeds pellets. With those three the office can match the likely part to your grill the same day.
