What Red or green LED (probe charger)
actually means.
The AIPG keeps its wireless probe in a charging box inside the front drawer. A red light shows the probe is still taking charge; green shows it is full, which Alfresco says gives about 36 hours of use.

What to do when Red or green LED (probe charger) shows on the grillKind of codeMode, not a failure
Nothing on the grill has failed; the controller is showing a state it was put in on purpose. A shutdown cycle keeps the fan running to burn off the last pellets before the grill goes quiet, a keep-warm setting holds the cook box low, a demo mode lights the display without feeding fuel, and a pairing screen waits for a phone to connect. No part is needed; the button sequence in the manual, or simply letting the cycle finish, returns it to normal.
Usually leads toNo repair
Keep the probe pushed fully into the charger with the drawer closed when you are not using it.
Shows up asGrill Error Code on a Pellet Controller or Digital Panel
A grill error code shows as letters and numbers on a pellet grill controller, a flashing light on a digital control panel, or an alert in the maker's app paired with the grill.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Alfresco's own guidance for Red or green LED (probe charger) on its grills. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Keep the probe pushed fully into the charger with the drawer closed when you are not using it.
Wait for green before a long cook; the first charge after plugging the grill in takes about 5 minutes for the probe and 15 to 20 for the box.
If the light never turns green after a long charge, book a visit to check the probe and the charger box.
Cleared?
The code is gone from the controller, the grill climbs to its set heat and holds it through a full cook, the pellets keep dropping and the probe readings stay believable, all without a new part. If the same code comes back within a week, or after the next rain, mention it when you book.
What not to do
A red light is not a warning, only a probe that is still charging. The light going out with the drawer open is also normal, because the box only charges with the drawer shut.
