What should I do? Shut the tank valve or the gas shutoff and keep it shut; the flame fades out as the last gas in the line burns away. Do not use the grill again until the valve is replaced. A valve that cannot shut is never repaired in place. ### Can I check my grill for a gas leak with soapy water? Where your grill's manual describes it, a soapy solution brushed on the tank connection shows a leak as growing bubbles. Do it with every knob off and no flame nearby, and never use a flame to look for a leak. If you find bubbles or smell gas, close the tank and call. ### My grill knobs are stiff. Can I spray them with lubricant? Please do not. General sprays can reach the valve and damage its seals, and some are flammable.
