The Eagle One sits in stand-by with its panel lights off. Pressing a knob wakes it: a blue light shows above the knob and the back lights come on, fading out after about 20 seconds if nothing else happens. A shutdown cycle keeps the fan running to burn off the last pellets before the grill goes quiet, a keep-warm setting holds the cook box low, a demo mode lights the display without feeding fuel, and a pairing screen waits for a phone to connect.
