A shutdown cycle keeps the fan running to burn off the last pellets before the grill goes quiet, a keep-warm setting holds the cook box low, a demo mode lights the display without feeding fuel, and a pairing screen waits for a phone to connect. Each step comes from Coyote's own guidance for Cooldown Mode on its grills. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Let the cycle finish; a running fan with no new pellets is exactly what should be happening. 02 Wait for the fan to stop before pressing the power button or unplugging the grill. 03 If the fan never stops or the grill never falls toward 160°F, switch off, let it cool completely and book a visit to have the grill sensor and the fan checked. ### Cleared? The code is gone from the controller, the grill climbs to its set heat and holds it through a full cook, the pellets keep dropping and the probe readings stay believable, all without a new part. If the same code comes back within a week, or after the next rain, mention it when you book. ### What not to do Cooldown Mode is not the grill shutting down because something went wrong; that is the low temperature alarm.
